DICE was well represented today at the Eagle Pt. Park crit in Dubuque. A technical, undulating but fun and scenic 1m loop. In the 50+ race, the group was content to let the race finish in a field sprint. A few half-hearted break attemps were brought back quickly. Last years 50+ Iowa cup champ, Tom Eaton won the sprint with Dan Burns getting 3rd and Dave Haussler 6th. I finished in 13th and was happy with being pack fodder today. DH and I turned right around and started the CAT 5 race with Jeff Abel. We tried to help Jeff get to the finish and turn loose his sprint. DH chased down the only serious break on lap 7. I crashed behind a kid who had touched wheels on lap 8. Got back in the race but didn't have anything left to help out. DH was narrowly nipped at the line and finished 3rd. Jeff finished 6th with myself right behind him in 7th.

Mike Winter, Pat Boonen and Dan Burns had good finishes in the 40+ race.
