Two Bee Racing - Tech Tack Teicher

today pete and i went out towards iowa city and did the 2bee road race (tech tack teicher)...it was the same exact course as the williamsburg road race basically...which was cool because i really like it...nice short hills but also flat stuff too
it was awesome finally get to race with someone on the same team as me...i haven't done that since the cody race i did back in march...other than that, i did the altoona stuff by myself, and did all the college races by myself. i don't know why but i feel like i can do more when i have a teammate there because i don't have to worry as much about getting dropped becuase even if i do, then hopefully i've done enough work to help my teammate out earlier on.
so yea, i did a couple small attacks at the beginning and covered a couple, but nothing major. somewhere along the way ryan (atlas) got away...i didn't think he would get far because he'd been attacking a bunch earlier and never did much but i guess that's what it takes
then after a while, jim (atlas) attacked out of the group to try to bridge up to his teammate...pete noticed this and immediately got up to jim and those two took off and caught ryan, and the three of them worked it out until the end. apparently within the last 5 miles or so, those two would attack/counter attack against pete to try to wear him out but he kept with it and was able to pull off a 2nd place overall
so yea, i was left in the "chase" group...not really much chasing going on because obviously myself and the other atlas guys weren't going to do any work...that just left 2bee, a couple muscatine guys and then some random teamless guys.
i was dumb and didn't mark my guys correctly and let a cat 4 guy from muscatine sneak off with like 7 or so miles to go...never really thought about it until tracy mentioned something to me and by then it was too late.
so our group was sprinting for 5th...and somehow the heavens opened up, angles sang, and i came across 5th...not really sure how i pulled that one off with guys like tracy, deninger, and scott wall in there...but it hurt...i think i went with like 500 meters to go and those last 500 meters i was running around 35 mph...so yea, that was "fun"
so it was pretty cool having 2 DICE guys in the top 5
